[Machine] Ali ibn Abi Talib used to say that the least amount of sacrifice that can be made is a sheep.  

البيهقي:٨٨٩٦وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ الْعَدْلُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا مَالِكٌ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ كَانَ يَقُولُ مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ شَاةٌ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Jafar ibn Muhammad from his father that Ali ibn Abi Talib used to say, "The least difficult thing acceptable as a sacrificial animal is a sheep."
