[Machine] A man asked the Prophet ﷺ about a person who performs ghusl (ritual bath) due to major impurity, but some parts of his body are not washed properly. The Prophet ﷺ said that he should wash that specific area, and then he can pray. Aasim ibn Abdullah al-Asha'ri narrated this. Al-Bukhari mentioned in this hadith that there is a discrepancy.  

البيهقي:٨٧٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَارِثُ الْفَقِيهُ أنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ الْمَعْرُوفُ بِأَبِي شَيْخٍ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ السَّهْمِيُّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سِيلَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَيُخْطِئُ بَعْضَ جَسَدِهِ الْمَاءُ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَغْسِلُ ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانَ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَبُو عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِيهِ نَظَرٌ

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about a man who performs the ritual purification from impurity (ghusl) but some parts of his body remain dry. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He should wash that place and then pray."
