[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "If a part of the animal is cut off while it is alive, then it is considered dead. This hadith can be cited regarding poetry and animal claws. However, it is specific to a certain context."  

البيهقي:٧٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ قَالَ

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا قُطِعَ مِنَ الْبَهِيمَةِ وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ فَهُوَ مَيْتَةٌ وَقَدْ يُحْتَجُّ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فِي الشَّعْرِ وَالظُّفُرِ وَإِنَّمَا وَرَدَ عَلَى سَبَبٍ وَهُوَ فِيمَا
