[Machine] One day, a certain woman came from the graves, so I said to her, "O Mother of the Believers, where did you come from?" She said, "I came from the grave of my brother, Abdur-Rahman ibn Abu Bakr." So I said to her, "Wasn't it the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who forbade visiting graves?" She said, "Yes, he forbade it, then he later commanded for it to be visited. He specifically singled out Bistam ibn Muslim al-Basri for it." And Allah knows best.

البيهقي:٧٢٠٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ الضَّرِيرُ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا بِسْطَامُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ

ؓ أَقْبَلَتْ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مِنَ الْمَقَابِرِ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَيْنَ أَقْبَلْتِ؟ قَالَتْ مِنْ قَبْرِ أَخِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا أَلَيْسَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ كَانَ نَهَى ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِزِيَارَتِهَا تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ بِسْطَامُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ

So I said to her, 'Wasn't it the case that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited visiting graves?' She said, 'Yes, he indeed prohibited it, then he was commanded to visit them.'"
