[AI] And it narrated to me about the prayer on the Prophet ﷺ, that when a Muslim prays upon him in his prayer, Muhammad ibn Ibrahim narrates from Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Zaid ibn Abd Rabbih, from Abu Mas'ood 'Uqbah ibn 'Amr, and he said: A man approached and sat in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while we were with him. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, as for the greeting upon you, we know it. So how do we send prayers upon you when we have already prayed upon you in our prayers and Allah has sent prayers upon you?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent until we wished that the man did not ask him. Then he said, "When you have prayed upon me, then say, 'O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon the family of Muhammad, as You have sent prayers upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. And bless Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and the family of Muhammad, as You have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are full of praise and majesty.' Their wording is equal." Abu Abdullah said, "This is an authentic hadith regarding mentioning the prayer upon the Prophet ﷺ in the prayers." and in the prayer.

2850: Abu Bakr ibn al-Harith al-Faqih informed us, 'Ali ibn 'Umar al-Hafidh narrated to us from Abu Bakr ibn Ziyad al-Naysaboori, from Abu al-Azhar Ahmad ibn al-Azhar, who mentioned it in a similar manner. وَحَدَّثَنِي فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذَا الْمَرْءُ الْمُسْلِمُ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ فِي صَلَاتِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَقَالَ أَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ حَتَّى جَلَسَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمَّا السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقَدْ عَرَفْنَاهُ فَكَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ إِذَا نَحْنُ صَلَّيْنَا عَلَيْكَ فِي صَلَاتِنَا صَلَّى الله عَلَيْكَ؟ قَالَ فَصَمَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى أَحْبَبْنَا أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَمْ يَسْأَلْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِذَا أَنْتُمْ صَلَّيْتُمْ عَلَيَّ فَقُولُوا اللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ لَفْظُهُمَا سَوَاءٌ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ بِذِكْرِ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الصَّلَوَاتِ

2850 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ هُوَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْأَزْهَرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْأَزْهَرِ فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ حَسَنٌ مُتَّصِلٌ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ وَقَدْ رُوِّي عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِنَحْوِهِ

And Abu Muhammad bin Yusuf informed us that Abu Sa'id bin Al-A'rabi narrated to him through Al-Hasan bin Muhammad Az-Zaa'farani, who narrated from Abdullah bin Nafi' and Muhammad bin Idris Ash-Shafi'i, who said that Malik narrated it with similar meaning.

2864 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ شَوْذَبٍ الْمُقْرِئُ بِوَاسِطَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ أنبأ مَالِكٌ فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ 2865 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ هُوَ الشَّافِعِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مَالِكٌ فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوٍ مِنْ مَعْنَاهُ
