[Machine] We used to say to Umar ibn Abdul Aziz on both Eid days, "May Allah accept from us and from you, O Amir al-Mu'minin (Commander of the Believers)." He would reply to us and not deny it to us, and a raised hadith has been narrated about the disapproval of that and it is not valid.  

البيهقي:٦٢٩٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ الْبَزَّازُ عَنْ أَدْهَمَ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ

كُنَّا نَقُولُ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ تَقَبَّلَ اللهُ مِنَّا وَمِنْكَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْنَا وَلَا يُنْكِرُ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَقَدْ رُوِيَ حَدِيثٌ مَرْفُوعٌ فِي كَرَاهِيَةِ ذَلِكَ وَلَا يَصِحُّ
