[Machine] Uthman and Umar came to the pulpit to give a sermon on Friday. Uthman asked, "What time is it?" Umar replied, "It is only the time for ablution." Uthman said, "And ablution too, even though you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command us to perform the ritual bath."  

البيهقي:٥٨٤٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْخَطِيبُ أنبأ أَبُو بَحْرٍ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

جَاءَ عُثْمَانُ ؓ وَعُمَرُ ؓ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ أَيَّةُ سَاعَةٍ هَذِهِ؟ فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ ؓ مَا كَانَ إِلَّا الْوُضُوءُ قَالَ وَالْوُضُوءُ أَيْضًا وَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِالْغُسْلِ
