[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , when he would give a sermon, his eyes would turn red, his voice would become loud, and his anger would intensify, as if he was warning of an approaching army. He would say, "May the morning be pleasant for you, and may the evening be pleasant for you." He would say, "I have been sent with the Hour, like these two fingers." He would separate his index finger and middle finger. He would say, "The best of speech is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of affairs are the newly invented ones, and every innovation is a misguidance." Then he would say, "I am more entitled to every believer than his own self. Whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his family, and whoever leaves behind a debt or dependents, it is upon me."

When Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) delivered the sermon, his eyes became red, his voice rose, and his anger increased so that he was like one giving a warning against the enemy and saying: "The enemy has made a morning attack on you and in the evening too." He would also say: "The Last Hour and I have been sent like these two." And he would join his forefinger and middle finger; and would further say: "The best of the speech is embodied in the Book of Allah, and the best of the guidance is the guidance given by Muhammad. And the most evil affairs are their innovations; and every innovation is error." He would further say:, I am more dear to a Muslim even than his self; and he who left behind property that is for his family; and he who dies under debt or leaves children (in helplessness), the responsibility (of paying his debt and bringing up his children) lies on me."

[Machine] He heard him saying the sermon of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on Friday, praising Allah and praising Him, then saying in response to that, his voice became louder, his anger intensified, and his cheeks reddened as if he were warning of an approaching army, saying "May morning or evening be upon you." Then he said, "I have been sent and the Hour is like these two fingers," and he pointed with his middle finger and the finger that follows the thumb. Then he said, "The best of speech is the Book of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst of matters are innovations, and every innovation is misguidance. Whoever abandons wealth, it is for his family, and whoever leaves a debt or a loss, it is for me and upon me." These words were narrated by Ibn Abi 'Uways, 5799. Abu Salih ibn Abi Tahir told us that my grandfather Yahya ibn Mansur narrated to me, that Ahmed ibn Salamah told me, that Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab narrated to me, that Khalid ibn Makhlad narrated to me, that Sulaiman ibn Bilal narrated to me, that Ja'far ibn Muhammad narrated to me from his father that Jaber ibn Abdullah said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ giving a sermon on Friday, and he mentioned [similar words] like these."
