[Machine] A city or village with a community that has a leader who commands them to gather for Friday prayers. Indeed, the people of Alexandria, the cities of Egypt, and the cities along its coasts used to gather for Friday prayers during the time of Umar ibn al-Khattab and Uthman ibn Affan by their command. And in it (the city/village), there are men from the companions.  

البيهقي:٥٦١٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ مُوسَى بْنُ عَامِرٍ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ اللَّيْثَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ فَقَالَ كُلُّ

مَدِينَةٍ أَوْ قَرْيَةٍ فِيهَا جَمَاعَةٌ وَعَلَيْهِمْ أَمِيرٌ أُمِرُوا بِالْجُمُعَةِ فَلْيُجَمِّعْ بِهِمْ فَإِنَّ أَهْلَ الْإِسْكَنْدَرِيَّةِ وَمَدَائِنَ مِصْرَ وَمَدَائِنَ سَوَاحِلِهَا كَانُوا يُجَمِّعُونَ الْجُمُعَةَ عَلَى عَهْدِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ بِأَمْرِهِمَا وَفِيهَا رِجَالٌ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ
