[Machine] He used to lead them in twenty units of prayer during the month of Ramadan, and would perform three units of voluntary prayer after that, which gave him strength for what he engaged in.  

البيهقي:٤٦١٩ – وَأنبأ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ أنبأ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أنبأ أَبُو الْخَصِيبِ قَالَ كَانَ يَؤُمُّنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ غَفَلَةَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَيُصَلِّي خَمْسَ تَرْوِيحَاتٍ عِشْرِينَ رَكْعَةً وَرُوِّينَا عَنْ شُتَيْرِ بْنِ شَكَلٍ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ عَلِيٍّ ؓ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ بِعِشْرِينَ رَكْعَةً وَيُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ وَفِي ذَلِكَ قُوَّةٌ لِمَا
