[Machine] He performed tawaf (circumambulation) after Asr prayer near the western side of the Sun, then he performed two units of prayer before sunset. It was said to him, "O Abu Darda, you are companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who say there is no prayer after Asr until the sun sets." He replied, "Indeed, this city is different from others, and this saying of Abu Darda specifies this place. Allah knows best." It was narrated that after performing tawaf at this time, Tawus and Qasim ibn Muhammad prayed. Saeed ibn Jubair said, "When you perform tawaf, then pray." It was also narrated from a group of companions and followers that they would delay it until the sun rises and ascends.  

أَنَّهُ طَافَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ عِنْدَ مَغَارِبِ الشَّمْسِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ يَا أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنْتُمْ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تَقُولُونَ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْبَلْدَةَ بَلْدَةٌ لَيْسَتْ كَغَيْرِهَا وَهَذَا الْقَوْلُ مِنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ يُوجِبُ تَخْصِيصَ الْمَكَانِ بِذَلِكَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ وَرُوِيَ فِي فِعْلِهِمَا بَعْدَ الطَّوَافِ فِي هَذَا الْوَقْتِ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ وَالْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَقَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ إِذَا طُفْتَ فَصَلِّ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَالتَّابِعِينَ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُؤَخِّرُونَهَا حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَتَرْتَفِعَ
