[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: It is permissible for my Ummah (community) to have thoughts that come to their minds or speak about things that they have not verbalized or acted upon.  

البيهقي:٣٨٦٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَالِكٍ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا مِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوَفَى عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ تُجُوِّزَ لِأُمَّتِي عَمَّا وَسْوَسَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهَا أَوْ حَدَّثَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهَا مَا لَمْ تَكَلَّمْ بِهِ أَوْ تَعْمَلْ بِهِ  

أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مِسْعَرِ بْنِ كِدَامٍ وَغَيْرِهِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تُجُوِّزَ لِأُمَّتِي عَمَّا حَدَّثَتْ فِي أَنْفُسِهَا أَوْ وَسْوَسَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسُهَا مَا لَمْ تَعْمَلْ بِهِ أَوْ تَكَلَّمْ بِهِ  

bayhaqi:15053 – Abū Ṣāliḥ b. Abū Ṭāhir al-ʿAnbarī > Jaddī Yaḥyá b. Manṣūr

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has overlooked for my ummah what they think about themselves, as long as they do not speak it or act upon it."
