[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us, "Pray as you have seen me praying. When the prayer time comes, let one of you give the call to prayer and the one among you who knows the most should lead the prayer."
قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلُّوا كَمَا رَأَيْتُمُونِي أُصَلِّي فَإِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْبَرُكُمْ
Prophet said (to two persons), "Whenever the prayer time becomes due, you should pronounce Adhan and then Iqama and the older of you should lead the prayer." (Using translation from Bukhārī 658)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَأَذِّنَا ثُمَّ أَقِيمَا ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا
I came to the Prophet ﷺ with some men from my tribe and stayed with him for twenty nights. He was kind and merciful to us. When he realized our longing for our families, he said to us, "Go back and stay with your families and teach them the religion, and offer the prayer and one of you should pronounce the Adhan for the prayer when its time is due and the oldest one amongst you should lead the prayer." أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ قَوْمِي فَأَقَمْنَا عِنْدَهُ عِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً وَكَانَ رَحِيمًا رَقِيقًا فَلَمَّا رَأَى شَوْقَنَا إِلَى أَهْلِنَا قَالَ ارْجِعُوا فَكُونُوا فِيهِمْ وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ وَصَلُّوا فَإِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْبَرُكُمْ
"ارجعُوا إلى أهْليكُم، فكُونوا فيهم، وعلِّموهم، وَمُرُوهُم، وصلُّوا كما رَأَيتُمُونِى أصَلِّى، فإِذا حضرت الصلاةُ، فَليؤُذِّنْ لَكُم أحدُكم، وليَؤُمَكُم أكبَرُكم".
