[Machine] Regarding the translation "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "There are two steps, one of which is the dearest to Allah ﷻ and the other is the most detestable to Allah. As for the step that Allah ﷻ loves, it is when a person observes a defect in the row and corrects it. As for the step that Allah ﷻ hates, it is when a person desires to stand up, extends his right leg and places his hand on it, then stabilizes his left leg and stands up."  

البيهقي:٣٥٦٩ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَبُو عُتْبَةَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ خُطْوَتَانِ إِحْدَاهُمَا أَحَبُّ الْخُطَا إِلَى اللهِ ﷻ وَالْأُخْرَى أَبْغَضُ الْخُطَا إِلَى اللهِ فَأَمَّا الْخُطْوَةُ الَّتِي يُحِبُّهَا اللهُ ﷻ فَرَجُلٌ نَظَرَ إِلَى خَلَلٍ فِي الصَّفِّ فَسَدَّهُ وَأَمَّا الَّتِي يُبْغِضُ اللهُ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَقُومَ مَدَّ رِجْلَهُ الْيُمْنَى وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا وَأَثْبَتَ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ قَامَ

As for the step that is more beloved to Allah the Mighty and Majestic, it is a man rectifying a flaw in the row. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ فَقَدِ احْتَجَّ بِبَقِيَّةَ فِي الشَّوَاهِدِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ «فَأَمَّا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا رَوَى عَنِ الْمَشْهُورِينَ فَإِنَّهُ مَأْمُونٌ مَقْبُولٌ» لا فإن خالدا عن معاذ منقطع

"خُطْوَتَانِ: أَحَدهمَا: أَحَبُّ الْخطَا إِلَى اللَّه تَعَالَى، والأُخْرَى: أَبْغَضُ الْخُطَا إِلَى اللَّه، فأَمَّا الَّتِى يحِبُّهَا اللَّه: فرَجُلٌ نَظَر إِلَى خَلَلٍ في الصَّفِّ فَسَدَّهُ، وَأَمَّا الَّتِى يُبْغِضُ اللَّه فَإِذَا أَرَاد الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يقُوم مدَّ رِجْلَهُ الْيُمْنى ووضَع يدهُ عليْهَا وَأَثْبَتَ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ قَامَ".
