[Machine] He prayed the afternoon prayer, then sat in the needs of the people in the spaciousness of Kufa until the afternoon prayer arrived. Then a cup of water was brought to him, so he took a handful and wiped his face, hands, head, and feet with it. Then he stood up and drank the rest while he was standing. Then he said: "Indeed, some people dislike drinking while standing, and indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did as I have done, and he said: 'This is the Wudu' for the one who has not performed Wudu'."  

البيهقي:٣٥٤أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مَحْمَوَيْهِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ أنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَلَانِسِيُّ نا آدَمُ نا شُعْبَةُ نا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّزَّالَ بْنَ سَبْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ

أَنَّهُ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ فِي حَوَائِجِ النَّاسِ فِي رَحَبَةِ الْكُوفَةِ حَتَّى حَضَرَتْ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِكُوزٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَخَذَ مِنْهُ حَفْنَةً وَاحِدَةً فَمَسَحَ بِهَا وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ وَرَأْسَهُ وَرِجْلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَشَرِبَ فَضْلَهُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ أُنَاسًا يَكْرَهُونَ الشُّرْبَ قَائِمًا وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَنَعَ كَمَا صَنَعْتُ وَقَالَ هَذَا وُضُوءُ مَنْ لَمْ يُحْدِثْ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ آدَمَ بْنِ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ بِبَعْضِ مَعْنَاهُ وَفِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ الثَّابِتِ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّ الْحَدِيثَ الَّذِي رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الرِّجْلَيْنِ إِنْ صَحَّ فَإِنَّمَا عُنِيَ بِهِ وَهُوَ طَاهِرٌ غَيْرُ مُحْدِثٍ إِلَّا أَنْ بَعْضَ الرُّوَاةِ كَأَنَّهُ اخْتَصَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فَلَمْ يَنْقُلْ قَوْلَهُ هَذَا وُضُوءُ مَنْ لَمْ يُحْدِثْ
