[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When the Imam finishes the prayer and sits, and then something affects him before he speaks, his prayer is completed. And whoever is behind him, if he completes the prayer, then his prayer is not valid. And 'Abdul-Rahman bin Ziyad mentioned it, and he has a different wording, and 'Abdul-Rahman is not relied upon as evidence. Yahya Al-Qattan and 'Abdul-Rahman bin Mahdi do not narrate it from him due to his weakness and the criticism of Ahmad bin Hanbal and Yahya bin Ma'in and others from the memorizers. Then the answer regarding it is like the answer to what we have narrated from Ibn Mas'ud. And with Allah is the facilitation."  

البيهقي:٢٩٧٠وَأَمَّا الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَنْعُمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ وَبَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا قَضَى الْإِمَامُ الصَّلَاةَ وَقَعَدَ فَأَحْدَثَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ فَقَدْ تَمَّتْ صَلَاتُهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ خَلْفَهُ مِمَّنْ أَتَمَّ الصَّلَاةَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَصِحُّ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ يَنْفَرِدُ بِهِ وَهُوَ مُخْتَلِفٌ عَلَيْهِ فِي لَفْظِهِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ لَا يُحْتَجُّ بِهِ كَانَ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ لَا يُحَدِّثَانِ عَنْهُ لِضَعْفِهِ وَجَرَّحَهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُمَا مِنَ الْحُفَّاظِ ثُمَّ الْجَوَابُ عَنْهُ كَالْجَوَابِ عَمَّا رُوِّينَا عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَبِاللهِ التَّوْفِيقُ
