[Machine] That the reading of the Prophet (PBUH) began with "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful," and 'Affan would describe each letter and prolong his voice with every letter.  

البيهقي:٢٤٢٣أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ ثنا الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ثنا عَفَّانُ ثنا هَمَّامٌ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ

أَنَّ قِرَاءَةَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَانَتْ بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَوَصَفَ عَفَّانُ حَرْفًا حَرْفًا وَمَدَّ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ صَوْتَهُ
