[Machine] Indeed, it is from the Sunnah (tradition of the Prophet) during prayer to place one hand on top of the other beneath the navel, just as mentioned.  

البيهقي:٢٣٤١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ السُّوَائِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ

إِنَّ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَضْعُ الْكَفِّ عَلَى الْكَفِّ تَحْتَ السُّرَّةِ وَكَذَلِكَ  

رَوَاهُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَرَوَاهُ حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ
