[Machine] I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . When he said the takbeer, he raised his hands. And when he went into rukoo' (bowing), prostration, and when he raised his head from prostration, I saw him giving the salutation to the right and left.  

البيهقي:٢٣١٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رِبْحٍ السَّمَّاكُ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنبأ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْيَحْصِبِيِّ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ

صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا كَبَّرَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مَعَ التَّكْبِيرِ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ أَوْ قَالَ سَجَدَ وَرَأَيْتُهُ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ
