[Machine] There was a man from the Ansar who freed his slave. If anything happened to him and he died, the Prophet ﷺ called for him. He was bought by Nu'aim ibn Abdullah, one of the sons of Adi ibn Ka'b.  

البيهقي:٢١٥٤٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مَطَرٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ وَأَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَهُمْ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَعْتَقَ مَمْلُوكَهُ إِنْ حَدَثَ بِهِ حَدَثٌ فَمَاتَ فَدَعَا بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَبَاعَهُ مِنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَحَدِ بَنِي عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي غَسَّانَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَسُقْ مَتْنَهُ وَأَحَالَ بِهِ عَلَى رِوَايَةِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَقَوْلُهُ إِنْ حَدَثَ بِهِ حَدَثٌ فَمَاتَ مِنْ شَرْطِ الْعِتْقِ وَلَيْسَ بِإِخْبَارٍ عَنْ مَوْتِ الْمُعْتِقِ وَمِنْ هُنَا وَقَعَ الْغَلَطُ لِبَعْضِ الرُّوَاةِ فِي ذِكْرِ وَفَاةِ الرَّجُلِ فِيهِ عِنْدَ الْبَيْعِ وَإِنَّمَا ذَكَرَ وَفَاتَهُ فِي شَرْطِ الْعِتْقِ يَوْمَ التَّدْبِيرِ وَالَّذِي يَدُلُّ عَلَيْهِ رِوَايَةُ الْجُمْهُورِ
