[Machine] Amr ibn Dinar heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying that a man from the Ansar had a young servant boy who did not have any wealth other than him. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bought him. Jabir ibn Abdullah said that Ibn Nahham bought him as an Abyssinian slave and he died in the year of Ibn Zubayr.  

البيهقي:٢١٥٣٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو سَعْدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعَ عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ دَبَّرَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ غُلَامًا لَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُ فَبَاعَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ اشْتَرَاهُ ابْنُ النَّحَّامِ عَبْدًا قِبْطِيًّا مَاتَ عَامَ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَإِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاهَوَيْهِ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ وَالْحُمَيْدِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ
