[Machine] There was nothing by the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except I saw him doing everything except one thing that he used to play with on the day of Eid. Amr bin Muhammad narrates from Isra'il who said that he used to play with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Eid, and talqis was a form of play.  

البيهقي:٢٠٩٧٩أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْهَرَوِيُّ بِسَافِرِيَّةَ ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ثنا شَيْبَانُ وَإِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

مَا كَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يُعْمَلُ بَعْدَهُ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ وَاحِدٌ كَانَ يُقَلَّسُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَرَوَاهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَالَ كَانَ يُقَلَّسُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ وَالتَّقْلِيسُ اللَّعِبُ
