"It is mentioned that Ka'b ibn Sur brought a Jewish person into the synagogue, placed the Torah on his head, and made him swear by God. It is also reported from Al-Ash'ari (may God be pleased with him) that he said a Jew is to be made to swear in the synagogue."  

البيهقي:٢٠٧١٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ الْعَلَوِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أنبأ وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ
