[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no ruler who governs between people and mentions a hadith, then Masruq said: 'I would rather spend a day ruling justly than participating in a military expedition for the sake of Allah.'"  

البيهقي:٢٠١٧٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو حَامِدٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا مُجَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرٌ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ حَاكِمٍ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ وَقَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ لَأَنْ أَقْضِيَ يَوْمًا بِحَقٍّ أَحَبُّ إِلِيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَغْزُوَ سَنَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ﷻ
