The owner recognized it and argued with the Prophet ﷺ , saying, "Return to him the price that he bought it with, or settle between them." Ash-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said in a narration from Abu Abdul Rahman al-Baghdadi that Tameem ibn Tarafah did not meet the Prophet ﷺ and did not hear from him.
