[Machine] Bilal came to the Prophet while he was having suhoor (pre-dawn meal during Ramadan) and said, "Do not call the adhan (call to prayer) until you see the dawn." Then he came to him the next day and said, "Do not call the adhan until the dawn rises." Then he came to him the next day and said, "Do not call the adhan until you see the dawn." The Prophet collected his hands, then separated them, and this is a mursal (a type of hadith) from Abu Dawood As-Sijistani, Shaddad, the freed slave of 'Iyad, who did not mention Bilal. Abu 'Ali Al-Rudhbari informed us about this, and Abu Bakr ibn Dasa narrated it from Abu Dawood. The sheikh (Abu Ismail Al-Bukhari) said, "And it has been narrated from other weak narrations, and we have mentioned their weakness in the book Al-Khilaf. And a hadith is only known as mursal from the hadith of Humaid ibn Hilal and others."
