[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What made you do that?" The man replied, "I woke up and saw it was dawn, so I called the Adhan (the call to prayer). The Prophet ﷺ then ordered him to make the call for prayer three times in the city, announcing that the slave had overslept. He instructed him to sit next to him until dawn arrived, and then said, "Now, stand." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then performed the two Rak'ahs (units of prayer) of Fajr. This narration was also reported by 'Amir bin Mudrik from 'Abdul Aziz, who mentioned it in a shortened form, and it is doubtful. The correct narration is the one narrated by Shu'aib bin Harb 1801. He said: Abu 'Ali Al-Ruwdhbariy informed us, from Abu Bakr bin Dasa, from Abu Dawud Al-Sijistani, from Ayyub bin Mansur, from Shu'aib bin Harb, from 'Abdul Aziz bin Abu Rawwad, from Nafi', from the caller of Umar, whose name was Masrooh. He called the Adhan before Fajr, and Umar ordered the mentioning of this narration, meaning a narration similar to the Hadith of Hammad bin Salamah. Abu Dawud said, "Umar mentioned it," referring to a narration similar to the Hadith of Hammad bin Salamah.
