[Machine] I saw the Prophet ﷺ during the year of conquest and I was a young boy asking about the location of Khalid ibn Al-Walid's house. So, I was brought a bearded man and they ordered him to be beaten with what they had in their hands. Some of them used a whip to beat him, while others used a stick. The Prophet ﷺ then brushed off the dust from his clothes.  

البيهقي:١٧٥٣٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دُرُسْتَوَيْهِ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى أنبأ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ مَنْزِلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَأُتِيَ بِشَارِبٍ فَأَمَرَهُمْ فَضَرَبُوهُ بِمَا فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَضْرِبُ بِالسَّوْطِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَضْرِبُ بِالْعَصَا وَحَثَا عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ التُّرَابَ

[Machine] He heard Abdur Rahman bin Azhar saying, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Conquest of Fath while I was a young boy moving among the people asking about the house of Khalid bin Al-Walid. So they brought a man with a beard who was then ordered by them and they hit him with what they had in their hands. Some of them struck him with a stick, and some of them struck him with a whip. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then cursed them and threw dust on them."  

أحمد:١٦٨١٠حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَزْهَرَ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ غَزَاةَ الْفَتْحِ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ مَنْزِلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَأُتِيَ بِشَارِبٍ فَأَمَرَهُمْ فَضَرَبُوهُ بِمَا فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ ضَرَبَهُ بِعَصًا وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ ضَرَبَهُ بِسَوْطٍ وَحَثَا عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ التُّرَابَ

So they brought him a slipper, and he ordered them to hit him with whatever they had in their hands. Some of them hit him with their sandals, some with a stick, and some with a whip. The Messenger of Allah urged them to throw dirt on him."
