[Machine] From the grave digger's news, Umar wrote to him, "By my life, it is thought that the thief of the dead will be punished as the thief of the living is punished."

البيهقي:١٧٢٤٢ – قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أنبأ حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ التُّجِيبِيُّ قَالَ كَتَبَ أَيُّوبُ بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ يَسْأَلُهُ

عَنْ نَبَّاشِي الْقُبُورِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ لَعَمْرِي لَيُحْسَبُ سَارِقُ الْأَمْوَاتِ أَنْ يُعَاقَبَ بِمَا يُعَاقَبُ بِهِ سَارِقُ الْأَحْيَاءِ
