[Machine] Uthman ibn Affan used to say, "There is no punishment for a thief until he has taken the stolen goods out of the house."  

البيهقي:١٧٢٢٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ

كَانَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ يَقُولُ لَيْسَ عَلَى سَارِقٍ قَطْعٌ حَتَّى يُخْرِجَ الْمَتَاعَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ
