[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said regarding a person who commits adultery without being married, they are to be exiled from Medina for one year, with the punishment imposed upon them. Ibn Shihab stated that Umar used to exile them from Medina to Basra and Khaybar.  

البيهقي:١٦٩٧٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ أنبأ ابْنُ مِلْحَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِيمَنْ زَنَى وَلَمْ يُحْصِنْ يُنْفَى عَامًا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ مَعَ إِقَامَةِ الْحَدِّ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ وَكَانَ عُمَرُ ؓ يَنْفِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى الْبَصْرَةِ وَإِلَى خَيْبَرَ
