بَابٌ

[Machine] A man passed by the Prophet ﷺ and saw the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with their youth and vigor. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, if only this were in the cause of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If he goes out striving to support his young children, then he is in the cause of Allah. And if he goes out striving to support his elderly parents, then he is in the cause of Allah. And if he goes out striving to support himself and to be self-sufficient, then he is in the cause of Allah. And if he goes out for ostentation and boasting, then he is in the cause of Satan."  

مَرَّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَرَأَى أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ جِلْدِهِ وَنَشَاطِهِ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَوْ كَانَ هَذَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى عَلَى وَلَدِهِ صِغَارًا فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى عَلَى أَبَوَيْنِ شَيْخَيْنِ كَبِيرَيْنِ فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسْعَى عَلَى نَفْسِهِ يُعِفُّهَا فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ رِيَاءً وَمُفَاخَرَةً فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ الشَّيْطَانِ»  

"إِنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى عَلَى وُلْدٍ صِغَارٍ فَهُوَ فِى سَبِيل اللَّهِ، وَإنْ كَانَ خَرَج يَسْعَى عَلَى أَبَوَين شَيْخَيْن كبِيرَيْنِ فَهُوَ في سَبِيل اللَّهِ، وَإِن كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى عَلَى نَفْسِهِ يُعِفُّها فهُوَ فِى سَبيل اللَّهِ، وَإنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى عَلَى أَهْلِهِ فَفِى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَإنْ كَانَ خَرَجَ يَسْعَى تَفَاخُرًا وَتَكَبُّرًا فَهُوَ فِى سَبِيل الشَّيْطَانِ".  

"إِنْ كان يَسْعَى عَلَى أَبَويْه شَيْخَيْنِ كَبِيرَيْنِ فَهُوَ فِى سَبيل اللَّهِ، وَإِنْ كان يَسْعَى عَلَى وُلْدٍ صغَارٍ فَهُوَ فِى سَبيل اللَّه، وَإنْ كان يَسْعَى عَلَى نَفْسه ليُغْنَيهَا فَهُوَ في سبِيلِ اللَّهِ" .
