ahmad-zuhd:1267 – ʿAbdullāh > al-Ḥasan > Ḍamrah > Rajāʾ

Forbearance is more exalted than reason. He said: because Allah ﷻ named Himself with it.

الزهد لأحمد:١٢٦٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ رَجَاءٍ قَالَ

الْحِلْمُ أَرْفَعُ مِنَ الْعَقْلِ، قَالَ: لَأَنْ اللَّهَ ﷻ تَسَمَّى بِهِ.
