[Machine] That his father called a group of the Prophet's companions, so they came to him, among them was Ubayy ibn Ka'b. I think he said that he gave them blessings and then they left. The sheikh, may Allah have mercy on him, said that we have previously narrated that he was fasting and he prayed, saying that he invoked blessings and then left.  

البيهقي:١٤٥٣٦وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ ثنا الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ

أَنَّ أَبَاهُ دَعَا نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَتَوْهُ فِيهِمْ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ ؓ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ فَبَارَكَ وَانْصَرَفَ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَقَدْ رَوَيْنَا فِيمَا تَقَدَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَصَلَّى يَقُولُ دَعَا بِالْبَرَكَةِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ
