[Machine] "Some people from among us are called Samaritans, they observe the Sabbath and recite the Torah, but they do not believe in the Day of Resurrection. So what do you see, O Commander of the Faithful, regarding their sacrifices?" He said, "They are a group from the people of the Scripture, and their sacrifices are the sacrifices of the people of the Scripture."  

البيهقي:١٣٩٨٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيُ ثنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا بُرْدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نَسِيٍّ عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ كَتَبَ عَامَلٌ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ

أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ قِبَلِنَا يُدْعَوْنَ السَّامِرَةَ يَسْبِتُونَ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ وَيَقْرَءُونَ التَّوْرَاةَ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِيَوْمِ الْبَعْثِ فَمَا تَرَى يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي ذَبَائِحِهِمْ؟ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ هُمْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ ذَبَائِحُهُمْ ذَبَائِحُ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ

"عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ: كَتَبَ عَامِلُ عُمَرَ إِلَى عُمَرَ أَنَّ قِبَلَنَا (*) نَاسًا يُدْعَوْنَ السَّامِرَة يَقْرَأُونَ التَّوْرَاةَ، وَيَسْبِتُونَ السَّبْتَ، وَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بالْبَعْثِ، فَمَا يَرَى أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِى ذَبَائِحِهِمْ؟ فكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ: إِنَّهُمْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ، ذَبَائِحُهُمْ ذَبَائِحُ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ".
