[Machine] Umar once divided some wealth among the people, so they started praising him. He said, "How foolish of you! If this wealth belonged to me, I wouldn't have given you even a single penny."  

البيهقي:١٣٠٣٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ أنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أنا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

قَسَمَ عُمَرُ ؓ يَوْمًا مَالًا فَجَعَلُوا يُثْنُونَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ مَا أَحْمَقَكُمْ لَوْ كَانَ هَذَا لِي مَا أَعْطَيْتُكُمْ دِرْهَمًا وَاحِدًا
