[Machine] And Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, was fair and just in his distribution among the people. It was said to Abu Bakr, the successor of the Messenger of Allah, "O Caliph of the Messenger of Allah, if you were to favor the Muhajireen (emigrants) and the Ansar (helpers), he said, "I would buy from them the shares. As for the sustenance, equality in it is better than abundance."
وَلِيَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ فَقَسَمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالسَّوِيَّةِ فَقِيلَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ لَوْ فَضَّلْتَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارَ فَقَالَ أَشْتَرِي مِنْهُمْ شِرًى فَأَمَّا هَذَا الْمَعَاشُ فَالْأُسْوَةُ فِيهِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْأَثَرَةِ
