[Machine] Yes, I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his socks. He said, "Did I not perform ablution except after the meal was brought down?" Abu Yahya said, Ibrahim ibn Adham said, "I have not heard a better hadith regarding wiping over the socks than this one."  

البيهقي:١٢٩٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ الْفَقِيهُ أنا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عِيسَى ثنا بَقِيَّةُ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَدْهَمَ ثنا مُقَاتِلُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ قَالَ نَزَلْتُ بِشَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ تَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْكَ؟ قَالَ نَزَلَ بِي جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ تَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْكَ؟ قَالَ

نَعَمْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَائِدَةِ؟ قَالَ مَا أَسْلَمْتُ إِلَّا بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَائِدَةِ قَالَ أَبُو يُحْمِدَ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَدْهَمَ مَا سَمِعْتُ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ بِحَدِيثٍ أَحْسَنَ مِنْ هَذَا
