[Machine] "Indeed, she freed her slave woman without seeking permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. And when her appointed day arrived, she asked the Messenger of Allah, 'Did you sense, O Messenger of Allah, that I have freed my slave woman named so and so?' He asked, 'Did you really do it?' She replied, 'Yes.' He said, 'If only you had given her to your relatives, it would have been even greater in reward for you.'"  

البيهقي:١١٣٢٦ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ أنبأ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ أَخْبَرَتْ

أَنَّهَا أَعْتَقَتْ وَلِيدَةً لَهَا وَلَمْ تَسْتَأْذِنْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُهَا الَّذِي يَدُورُ عَلَيْهَا فِيهِ قَالَتْ أَشَعَرْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنِّي قَدْ أَعْتَقْتُ وَلِيدَتِي فُلَانَةً؟ قَالَ أَوَفَعَلْتِ؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَوْ أَعْطَيْتِهَا أَخْوَالَكِ كَانَ أَعْظَمَ لِأَجْرِكِ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ

the freed slave of Ibn ʿAbbas, that Maimuna bint Al-Harith told him that she manumitted a slave-girl without taking the permission of the Prophet. On the day when it was her turn to be with the Prophet, she said, "Do you know, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that I have manumitted my slave-girl?" He said, "Have you really?" She replied in the affirmative. He said, "You would have got more reward if you had given her (i.e. the slave-girl) to one of your maternal uncles."  

البخاري:٢٥٩٢ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنِ اللَّيْثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
