[Machine] Until now, O father, until now, O father, whoever seeks his brother should seek him with gentleness and kindness, or otherwise. When he heard that, he left him and followed him. He said, "O Prophet of Allah, before you said whoever seeks his brother should seek him with gentleness and kindness, or otherwise. He said, "Yes." He said, "O Prophet of Allah, what is gentleness?" He said, "Not insulting him, not being overly strict with him, not being vulgar towards him, and not harming him." He said, "And what is kindness or otherwise?" He said, "Giving him his due rights or leaving part of it."  

البيهقي:١١٢٨٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ وَارَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَابِقٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُبِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ دَخَلَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ وَأُبِيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ مُلَازِمٌ رَجُلًا قَالَ فَصَلَّى وَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَإِذَا هُوَ مُلَازِمُهُ قَالَ

حَتَّى الْآنَ يَا أُبِيُّ حَتَّى الْآنَ يَا أُبِيُّ مَنْ طَلَبَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَطْلُبْهُ بِعَفَافٍ وَافٍ أَوْ غَيْرِ وَافٍ فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ ذَلِكَ تَرَكَهُ وَتَبِعَهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ قُلْتَ قَبْلُ مَنْ طَلَبَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَطْلُبْهُ بِعَفَافٍ وَافٍ أَوْ غَيْرِ وَافٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ مَا الْعَفَافُ؟ قَالَ غَيْرَ شَاتِمِهِ وَلَا مُتَشِدِّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا مُتَفَحِّشٍ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا مُؤْذِيهِ قَالَ وَافٍ أَوْ غَيْرِ وَافٍ ؟ قَالَ مُسْتَوْفٍ حَقَّهُ أَوْ تَارِكٌ بَعْضَهُ
