[Machine] "From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Abu Sa'id came and settled in this house. He took me by the hand until we approached him and he said, 'What is this news about you?' Abu Sa'id said, 'With my own eyes I saw and with my own ears I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ using his finger saying, "Do not sell gold for gold nor silver for silver, except equally and at the spot. Do not keep one hand over the other hand nor sell the absent for the present.'  

البيهقي:١٠٤٨٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّزَّازُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْفَحَّامُ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ أنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَحَدَّثَهُ بِحَدِيثٍ

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ فَقَدِمَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَنَزَلَ هَذِهِ الدَّارَ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي حَتَّى أَتَيْنَاهُ فَقَالَ مَا يُحَدِّثُ هَذَا عَنْكَ؟ قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ بَصُرَ عَيْنِي وَسَمِعَ أُذُنِي قَالَ فَمَا نَسِيتُ قَوْلَهُ بِأُصْبُعِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الذَّهَبِ بِالذَّهَبِ وَبَيْعِ الْوَرِقِ بِالْوَرِقِ إِلَّا سَوَاءً بِسَوَاءٍ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَلَا تُشِفُّوا أَحَدَهُمَا عَلَى الْآخَرِ وَلَا تَبِيعُوا غَائِبًا بِنَاجِزٍ  

أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

"My eyes saw and my ears heard the Messenger of Allah. And he mentioned the prohibition of (selling) gold for gold and silver for silver, unless it is equal amounts, like for like. And do not sell it in return for something to be paid later, and do not differentiate." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4571)

وَسَمِعَ أُذُنِي وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ إِلَى عَيْنَيْهِ وَأُذُنَيْهِ فَمَا نَسِيتُ قَوْلَهُ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الذَّهَبِ بِالذَّهَبِ وَالْوَرِقِ بِالْوَرِقِ إِلَّا سَوَاءً بِسَوَاءٍ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ أَلَا لَا تَبِيعُوا غَائِبًا بِنَاجِزٍ وَلَا تُشِفُّوا أَحَدَهُمَا عَلَى الْآخَرِ
