[Machine] Narrated Suhaib, the companion of the Prophet ﷺ , reported that the Prophet ﷺ would not enter a town without saying, "O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and whatever they shade, Lord of the seven earths and whatever they contain, Lord of the devils and whatever they lead astray, Lord of the winds and whatever they scatter. We ask You for the goodness of this town and the goodness of its people, and we seek Your protection from its evil and the evil of its people, and the evil that is within it." The mention of his father in the narration of Abu Zakariyya and Abu Bakr is false, and it is in the narration of Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz, and it is authentic in it.

[Machine] Omar ibn Al-Khattab was listening to the recitation while leading the people in prayer at the Prophet's mosque from the house of Abu Jahm. Ka'ab Al-Ahbar said, "By the One who split the sea for Moses, Suhaib told me that Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, never entered a village except that when he saw it, he would say, 'Oh Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all that they shade, and Lord of the seven earths and all that they carry, and Lord of the devils and all that they mislead, and Lord of the winds and all that they scatter. Indeed, we ask You for the goodness of this village and the goodness of its people, and seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of its people, and the evil of what is in it.' Ka'ab swore by the One who split the sea for Moses, as it was the supplication of Dawood when he would see the enemy."
