bayhaqi:1010 – Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Abū al-Faḍl al-Ḥasan b. Yaʿqūb b. Yūsuf > Yaḥyá b. Abū Ṭālib > ʿAbd al-Wahhāb b. ʿAṭāʾ > Saʿīd b. Abū ʿArūbah > Qatādah > ʿAzrah > Saʿīd b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abzá from his father > ʿAmmār

[Machine] He said: I asked the Prophet ﷺ about Tayammum, so he instructed me to strike the face and hands once. Qatadah used to give fatwa regarding this as well.  

البيهقي:١٠١٠ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَزْرَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ التَّيَمُّمِ فَأَمَرَنِي بِالْوَجْهِ وَالْكَفَّيْنِ ضَرْبَةً وَاحِدَةً وَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يُفْتِي بِهِ وَكَذَلِكَ  

رَوَاهُ جَمَاعَةٌ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ وَرَوَاهُ عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ دُونَ ذِكْرِ عَزْرَةَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَاخْتُلِفَ عَلَيْهِ فِي ذِكْرِ عَزْرَةَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ وَقِيلَ عَنْ أَبَانَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بِإِسْنَادٍ آخَرَ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ
