This is what I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do.

أحمد:٩٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِيحَيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

أَنَّهُ تَوَضَّأَ ثَلاثًا ثَلاثًا وَشَرِبَ فَضْلَ وَضُوئِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَلَ

nasai:136 – Abū Dāwud Sulaymān b. Sayf > Abū ʿAttāb > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > Abū Ḥayyah > Raʾayt

"I saw 'Ali performing Wudu', washing each part thrice. Then he stood up and drank the water that was left over from his Wudu' and said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did as I have done.'"

النسائي:١٣٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَتَّابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّةَ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ عَلِيًّا ؓ تَوَضَّأَ ثَلاَثًا ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ قَامَ فَشَرِبَ فَضْلَ وَضُوئِهِ وَقَالَ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَمَا صَنَعْتُ

ahmad:1273 – Abū Aḥmad > Sufyān > Abū Isḥāq > Abū Ḥayyah b. Qays

’Ali ؓ did wudoo’, each part three times, then he drank the left over water. Then he said: This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do wudooʿ.

أحمد:١٢٧٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ

تَوَضَّأَ عَلِيٌّ ثَلاثًا ثَلاثًا ثُمَّ شَرِبَ فَضْلَ وَضُوئِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ
