ahmad:8803Surayj > ʿAbdullāh b. Nāfiʿ > Ibn Abū Dhiʾb > Ṣāliḥ a freed slave of al-Tawʾamah > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] A man sat with the Prophet ﷺ and the Messenger of Allah said to him, "Where are you from?" He replied, "I am a Berber." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Stand away from me." He moved aside and then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ faced us and said, "Indeed, faith does not surpass their throats."  

أحمد:٨٨٠٣حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْأَمَةِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

جَلَسَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَيْنَ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ بَرْبَرِيٌّ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قُمْ عَنِّي قَالَ بِمِرْفَقِهِ هَكَذَا فَلَمَّا قَامَ عَنْهُ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْإِيمَانَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ
