the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A servant ˹of Allah˺ does not entirely have faith until he abandons lying even while joking, and ˹abandons˺ argumentation even if he is correct."  

أحمد:٨٧٦٦حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ؛ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ؛ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ أُذَيْنٍ؛ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ؛ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يُؤْمِنُ الْعَبْدُ الْإِيمَانَ كُلَّهُ حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ الْكَذِبَ فِي الْمُزَاحِ وَالْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَادِقًا۔»
