[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, he hears the sound of their footsteps when they leave."  

أحمد:٨٥٦٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍوعَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّهُ لَيَسْمَعُ خَفْقَ نِعَالِهِمْ إِذَا وَلَّوْا

When the dead body. is placed in the grave, he listens to the sound of the shoes (as his friends and relatives return after burying him).

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ إِذَا وُضِعَ فِي قَبْرِهِ إِنَّهُ لَيَسْمَعُ خَفْقَ نِعَالِهِمْ إِذَا انْصَرَفُوا

أحمد:٩٧٤٢ – حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ

لَيَسْمَعُ خَفْقَ نِعَالِهِمْ إِذَا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ  

ذِكْرُ سَمَاعِ الْمَيِّتِ عِنْدَ سُؤَالِ مُنْكَرٍ إِيَّاهُ وَقَعَ أَرْجُلِ الْمُنْصَرِفِينَ عَنْهُ، نَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الثَّبَاتَ لِذَلِكَ
