[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: Whoever has a dog that is not used for farming, hunting, or guarding livestock, will have his rewards diminished by one qirat every day. Sulaym said, "I think he (the Prophet) also said, 'And the qirat is like the size of Uhud.'"  

أحمد:٨٥٤٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُنَا عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِكَلْبِ زَرْعٍ وَلَا صَيْدٍ وَلَا مَاشِيَةٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍقِيرَاطٌ قَالَ سُلَيْمٌ وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَدْ قَالَ وَالْقِيرَاطُ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِكَلْبِ صَيْدٍ وَلاَ مَاشِيَةٍ وَلاَ أَرْضٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ قِيرَاطَانِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ

He who kept a dog ther than one meant for watching the fields or herds or hunting would lose one qirat every day out of his reward (with God). (Using translation from Muslim 1574g)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ كَلْبًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ زَرْعٍ أَوْ غَنَمٍ أَوْ صَيْدٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ  

ahmad:20576 – Saʿīd b. ʿĀmir > Saʿīd > Qatādah > al-Ḥasan > ʿAbdullāh b. Mughaffal

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever keeps a dog that is not for hunting, herding, or guarding livestock, then he will have a large portion of his reward diminished every day."  

أحمد:٢٠٥٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ اتَّخَذَ كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِكَلْبِ صَيْدٍ وَلَا زَرْعٍ وَلَا غَنَمٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ  

nasai-kubra:4783 – And Hb b. Bayān > Ibn Wahb > Yūnus > Ibn Shihāb > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib > Abū Hurayrah
