[Machine] The Jews came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Death be upon you." And they said to themselves, "Why does Allah not punish us for what we say?" Then Allah revealed, "And when they come to you, they greet you with a greeting that Allah has not greeted you with." And he recited until His saying, "So how dreadful is the result!" (Al-Mujadilah 58:8)
أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ وَقَالُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ {لَوْلَا يُعَذِّبُنَا اللهُ بِمَا نَقُولُ} [المجادلة 8] فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَإِذَا جَاءُوكَ حَيَّوْكَ بِمَا لَمْ يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ اللهُ} فَقَرَأَ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {فَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ} [المجادلة 8]
