[Machine] I and Talid bin Kilab Al-Laithi went out until we reached Abdullah bin Amr bin Aasi, who was circumambulating the Kaaba with his sandals in his hand. We asked him, "Did you attend the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when At-Tamimi was speaking to him on the Day of Hunayn?" He said, "Yes, a man from the tribe of Tamim called Dhul-Khuwaysirah came and stood in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was distributing things to the people. Dhul-Khuwaysirah said, 'O Muhammad, I have witnessed what you did today.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, 'So how did you see it?' Dhul-Khuwaysirah replied, 'I did not see you distributing justly.' This made the Messenger of Allah ﷺ angry, and he said, 'Woe to you, if justice is not with me, then with whom is it?' Umar ibn Khattab said, 'O Messenger of Allah, shall we not kill him?' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Leave him, as he will have followers who will deepen in religion until they come out of it as an arrow comes out of its target. They will look into the arrowhead, but find nothing. They will look into the quiver, but find nothing. Then they will look into the bow, but find nothing. They will have passed away while leaving behind filth and blood.'"
خَرَجْتُ أَنَا وَتَلِيدُ بْنُ كِلَابٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ مُعَلِّقًا نَعْلَيْهِ بِيَدِهِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ هَلْ حَضَرْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ يُكَلِّمُهُ التَّمِيمِيُّ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ؟قَالَ نَعَمْ أَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ ذُو الْخُوَيْصِرَةِ فَوَقَفَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُعْطِي النَّاسَ قَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ قَدْ رَأَيْتَ مَا صَنَعْتَ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَجَلْ فَكَيْفَ رَأَيْتَ؟ قَالَ لَمْ أَرَكَ عَدَلْتَ قَالَ فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنِ الْعَدْلُ عِنْدِي فَعِنْدَ مَنْ يَكُونُ؟ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَا نَقْتُلُهُ؟ قَالَ لَا دَعُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ لَهُ شِيعَةٌ يَتَعَمَّقُونَ فِي الدِّينِ حَتَّى يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهُ كَمَا يَخْرُجُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ يُنْظَرُ فِي النَّصْلِ فَلَا يُوجَدُ شَيْءٌ ثُمَّ فِي الْقِدْحِ فَلَا يُوجَدُ شَيْءٌ ثُمَّ فِي الْفُوقِ فَلَا يُوجَدُ شَيْءٌ سَبَقَ الْفَرْثَ وَالدَّمَ
